8 x 11 Rug Pads

For larger area rugs, we usually suggest rug pads with more cushion than grip because they often stay put on their own or with the help of furniture. Shop our collection for the best pads for all floor and rug types.

You might be wondering...

I had Karndean vinyl plank floors installed last year and have finally found an 8' by 11' rug I like. The manufacturer says no rubber or latex pads, so which type of pad should I buy? I don't need non-slip because the rug will be anchored by furniture.

I would take a look at our Anchor Grip pad, which is made with a soybean oil-based polymer blend. It is safe for all hardwood floors, finishes, and laminates and provides a comfortable level of cushioning and long-term floor protection. Many customers with your type of floor purchase this pad. However, I would first call your floor's manufacturer because they will know a lot more than us about your floor and what can go on it.

I have an 8x11 oval-shaped LL Bean braided wool rug. If I order a felt pad will I need to cut it to fit?

What is the best type of pad for a 55 to 60-year-old hand woven 8'x 11' rug that was recently purchased in Istanbul?

I want to prevent fine sand and dirt that filters through my 8' x 11' area rug from going onto the floor. Is your Superior Lock pad good for this particular job? I don't mind the debris landing on top of the pad I just don't want it on the floor.

I bought an 8x11 Dash & Albert rug for a playroom with a hardwood floor. The rug isn't very thick and as children will be crawl on it it I want it to be cushioned. I also need a pad with grip. Do you recommend Superior Lock over Cloud Comfort?
