A truly eco-friendly alternative to other traditional non-slip pads, Nature’s Grip weds hand-woven organic jute fibers to natural rubber to maximize your rug’s grip, protect your flooring and extend your rug's life.
Natural rubber is superior to harmful chemicals and adhesives used in synthetic PVC rug pads; it offers better non-skid properties than plastic and will “grip” rather than “stick to” floors. Ours is combined with a 100% plant jute base, one of the strongest naturally- produced materials available.
Nature’s Grip’s low profile is a perfect choice when door clearance or rug thickness is an issue. It’s also a favorite for runners and scatter rugs that should lie flat with flooring.

Customer Questions & Answers
Do I need a non-slip pad or a cushion pad?
Non-slip pads are best for high-traffic areas such as foyers and hallways, where thin rugs and runners are prone to slipping and sliding. Our cushion pads add a plush layer for large rugs already anchored by furniture, such as living and dining rooms. Should you decide you need a degree of both grip and cushioning, opt for a felt and rubber pad.
Why natural rubber vs. pvc?
Natural Rubber’s low off gassing properties and high grip levels provide a more natural, better performing rug pad than traditional plastic.
Can I wash this rug pad?
Nature’s Grip can be easily hand washed and we recommend you do this from time to time. Natural rubber should not be used in a washing or drying machine.
Does Nature’s Grip contain any odors?
Nature’s Grip is completely odorless. Typically overseas PVC padding treated with chemicals is what gives off potent odor.
What makes this rug pad so eco-friendly?
Nature’s Grip is made with handwoven organic jute fibers and Natural Rubber. It’s the most eco-friendly non slip rug pad for a truly greener home.
Which rug types work well with Nature’s Grip?
Nature’s grip is a very low profile rug pad that works well with all rug types. It’s ideal for those looking for maximum grip while allowing rugs to lay flush with floors.
Which floor types is Nature’s Grip safe for?
Nature’s Grip is safe for all floors and finishes as long as you follow your flooring manufacturer’s instructions and wait for proper curing times. With less common floor finishes such as vinyl, acrylic, lacquered, waxed tile, and linoleum, we recommend you check with your flooring manufacturer to ensure that natural rubber can be used. Some of these manufacturers will recommend natural rubber while others will recommend a vinyl non slip pad.
How thick is the Nature's Grip rug pad?
Nature's Grip is 1/8" thick. This low-profile pad has a very strong grip and is ideal for rugs that are close to doors or other situations where rug thickness is an issue.
Does the Nature's Grip jute and natural rubber pad provide protection against scratches to hardwood floors when used under a rug that does not have a backing?
Yes, it does. This natural rubber and natural plant jute pad is an effective barrier against the collections of dust and grime that slip through rugs and over time scratch and mark wood floors. Nature’s Grip will protect your flooring for many years.
Nature's Grip looks like it might scratch floors, will it?
Nature's Grip will not scratch, mark or harm your floor in any way. This rug pad is covered in natural rubber which is soft.
What pad do you suggest for a 30" x 108" area rug?
I recommend either Nature's Grip or Super Lock Natural. Their firm holds will keep even the slipperiest of rugs in place.
Which of the pure grip pads would you recommend for a thin wool rug on a wood floor in an entryway? The pad needs to be thin so the door can swing over comfortably.
I believe that Nature's Grip will work well for you. It is ideal for runners and rugs that should lie flat with flooring.

What’s the difference between Eco Plush and Nature's Grip? I have an 8' x 12' oriental rug on hardwood floors and want to know if I need a non-slip pad. Also, is there a difference between the two from an ecological and quality perspective?
Eco Plush is made from 100% heat-pressed felt and isn't considered to be non-slip. Nature's Grip is a natural rubber and natural plant jute pad, and is non-slip. Both pads are high quality, they're just two different materials. If gripping isn't important to you, go with Eco Plush.

I need a liner for a 5'5" x 7'5" rug to stop it sliding on my hardwood floor. I don't need a pad, so what can you suggest? Having said that I’ve been looking at Nature's Grip. Is it safe for wood floors? And if I were to order it, what size would I need?
You really do need a pad if you want to stop your rug moving around. Nature's Grip is made from natural rubber and natural plant jute and will not harm your floor. It is rated four for grip and so will stop your rug slipping out of place. With regards to size, just enter your rug's exact dimensions, and we will cut a perfect fitting pad for you. We'll do this by taking 2" off the length and 2" off the width.
